Looking for flexible group lessons that fit your schedule? Our ‘Shared Lessons’ are ski & snowboard group lessons that are available all the time.

How it works:

Contact us directly with the sessions you want. Simply book private lessons, and we convert those to group lessons. As more participants join, you get money back; just like a ride-share! Kids Groups

Duration: 4hrs (from 3 – 5 days)

Our junior group ski lessons are structured in the school holidays and run as ‘Shared Lessons’ groups. They run for 4hrs across 3 – 5 days, don’t worry if you don’t see a group lesson when you want or need one. Contact us directly and we can set up ‘Shared Lessons’ for you. Our junior skiers need to be 6 years old to join general group lessons. If any of your group are under 6 please contact us before you book to discuss possible options.

Junior group lessons – 2 levels

Blue Group: Junior skiers will have experienced blue runs but need more development on them. They generally ski with a plough heading into a turn, followed by parallel skis across the mountain. Juniors will have usually skied with Freedom Snowsports before, or other international ski schools. These junior skiers may have earned our 3 to 5 star awards already. The French ski school equivalent would be ‘Flocon’ To 1 star. Having said that, awards are not necessary to join our groups. Provided skiers are comfortable on a blue run we will focus on improving towards parallel turns.

Red Group: Junior skiers in our red groups are typically regular skiers with Freedom Snowsports. They are comfortable on the whole mountain and are consistently using parallel turns. It may be that they have already achieved our 6 to 8 star ski awards. The French ski school equivalent would be 2 – 3 star. Awards aren’t needed though. As long as your junior skier is consistent in parallel we focus on developing a variety of turns, both carved & skidded turns.

Academy

Duration: 4hrs (from 3 – 5 days)

For those who have progressed through our junior group sessions we offer our Academy classes. Junior skiers may have achieved our highest ski awards of 8 or 9 star, or French ski awards of Bronze or Gold. Once in the Academy, our instructors will apply more advanced and specialized skills to develop the more diverse aspects of our sport. This knowledge will allow skiers to travel further, safer and over more varied terrain both on and off piste. The main skill areas covered in addition to piste performance, steeps, off piste, bumps and freestyle.

During the Academy we develop full mountain awareness. We teach new safety procedures and the use of mountain safety equipment. All of which is essential knowledge for modern skiing. Teaching the next generation how to respect the mountain environment is vital for high level skiing.
Due to the more advanced nature of the sessions, Academy juniors must have attended our junior red group.

We like being helpful and efficient so we make booking as easy as possible. Take advantage of our real time booking system and look for the existing groups as blue dates in the calendar. There’s a minimum of 2 people required for a ‘Shared Lessons’, so book asap to secure your lessons.

Notifications

Our live booking platform keeps you updated from the point of booking right up until we meet you on the slopes. You will be sent email and sms notifications from us and your instructor. As soon as your booking is confirmed, you will automatically receive confirmation & full itinerary. We even send email and sms reminders 24 hours before your session.

Request Updates

If you can’t find the sessions you want on a particular date. You can reach out to us and create your own ‘Shared Lessons’ group. Or, turn on the request updates feature in the booking calendar.
