Meribel Off Piste Guiding & Adventures
We offer private off piste guiding, off piste skills groups, and alpine touring groups in Meribel and the 3 valleys area. Ideal for skiers or snowboarders keen to find that untouched snow. Choose from private lessons & guiding, select any green date in the booking calendar. Alternatively if groups are what you’re looking for keep an eye out for blue dates in the booking calendar. If you cannot see any, you can set up ‘Shared Lesson’ groups anytime, contact us and we will organise it for you.
Guided Backcountry
A private guide for you and inclusive of up to 6 people of your choosing. Our guided backcountry days offer a mixture of lift access & brief skinning (if desired), to access some of the incredible hidden off-piste descents that our mountains have to offer. Routes in Meribel and the 3 valleys are weather dependant and selected according to the prevailing conditions.
Ability: Intended for skiers that already have some experience skiing off piste. To get the most from this session you should as a minimum, be able to link turns comfortably in soft un-groomed snow off-piste.
You’ll need transceiver, shovel, probe, and backpack (+water/food). If you would like to include skinning to access off piste routes please bring touring skis/binding, skins, and ski crampon.
Off Piste Skills 1
This session is focused on understanding how your skis interact with off-piste conditions. Then we work on adjusting the on-piste techniques you already know to handle the variability of ungroomed snow conditions. Using short sections off the sides of the pistes, you’ll learn how to link turns in soft snow. While in a comfortable, controlled environment with gradients that suit your current level. From there, it’s all about building confidence to make the most of your new skills, and when you’re ready, we’ll see you back for Level 2!
Duration: 5hrs (2x 2.5hr Sessions AM/PM)
1 Hour lunch break allowing for continued Q/A & feedback with your coach.

Off Piste Skills 2
If you’re already linking turns off-piste on gradients equivalent to blue terrain and eager to explore more of Meribel’s off-piste landscape, this course is for you! We start with a quick refresher on the basics of skiing in soft snow before diving into personalised skill development based on your performance needs. You’ll advance at your own pace through a mix of on-piste and off-piste tasks over carefully chosen terrain. Ensuring a safe, challenging, and rewarding experience as you take your off-piste abilities to the next level.
Duration: 5hrs (2x 2.5hr Sessions AM/PM)
1 Hour lunch break allowing for continued Q/A & feedback with your coach.

Alpine Ski Touring
Your private guide is available for you inclusive of up to 6 people of your choosing. Our guided ski touring days access areas you would not otherwise get to see and ski. Whether you have experience of ski touring or not, we guide and instruct according to your level of ability. Route selection is based on prevailing weather conditions and of course if you have any wishes for routes and terrain.
Ability: Skiers that already have some experience skiing off piste.
Equipment: Ski touring skis/binding, skins, ski crampon, transceiver, shovel, probe, and backpack (+water/food).

If you cant find the session you’re looking for, whether it’s joining a group or a private session, just get in touch, we’re here to make it happen for you. Alpine Touring FAQ
Fitness for ski touring? You dont need to be super fit, you need to be comfortable spending a few hours hill walking, at a relaxed pace.
Skill level? You dont need to be a high performing skier. If you are a skier that can comfortably ski most pistes, and can can ski un-groomed snow at the side of the pistes. You have enough skill to join us for some ski touring.
Equipment?You will need: ski touring skis/binding, skins, ski crampon, transceiver, shovel, probe, and rucksack (Don’t worry, when sessions start we will carry out a kit check and briefing). Alpine touring equipment can be rented as a “ski randonnee” or “ski touring” package very easily from most good ski rental shops around the Meribel and the 3 valleys ski areas.

We recommend using appropriate skis for off piste skiing. Use a ski that is wider than 85mm wide underfoot. Preferably as long as you are tall (+/- 3cm). Please avoid using short/narrow skis off piste, while they may feel lovely on piste, it will make things more difficult for you off piste. Avalanche safety equipment is required, except for the level 1 skills group. And can be hired from us, and most rental shops. If you need advice, let us know, we are here to help.
