Flaine Ski Resort Guide
Flaine offers the largest range of skiing in the Grand Massif ski area. The resort was built in the 1960s in a west facing powder bowl. Flaine is a family-friendly resort with superb facilities. The town centre is mainly pedestrianised, charming, and convenient.
The ski resort is largely a ski-in-ski-out location, and the snow quality is consistently excellent. Actually, Flaine has one of the best snow records in France. There are abundant higher slopes in open mountain terrain, with plenty of cruising slopes. However, there are plenty of challenging runs, and plentiful off piste that gives Flaine so much variety. There is also the large network of tree-lined slopes dropping down towards Samoëns, Les Carroz and Morillon. With their 265km of connected pistes.
